Privacy Policy of HardPurge Junk Cleaner
1. Introduction & Consent
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to HardPurge Junk Cleaner (referred to as “HardPurge”, “we”, “us”, “our App”), an Android storage cleanup utility published on Google Play Store. This document fully discloses our rules for collecting, processing, storing and protecting user data during App usage.
By installing, launching, granting storage permissions and running scan/cleanup operations inside HardPurge, you fully agree to all clauses of this policy. If you disagree with any terms herein, uninstall HardPurge and stop all usage immediately.
HardPurge complies with Google Play User Data Policy, Google Data Safety standards, EU GDPR, California CCPA and US COPPA. Our core privacy principle is full local on-device processing; we never automatically upload user private files to remote servers without explicit user opt-in.
2. All File Access Permission Statement (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Legal & Functional Reason for All File Access Permission
Android’s scoped storage framework cannot fully traverse the full device storage to detect all junk files, residual app cache, duplicate media, unused APKs, oversized documents and leftover uninstaller files across internal storage, SD cards and OTG drives. The MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission grants full read/write access to shared storage directories solely for these cleanup functions.
Restrictions on Permission Usage
- We only read file metadata (file name, size, format, path) to classify junk files; we do not read or parse the internal text, image or confidential content of your personal documents, photos and private records.
- No file deletion will execute without your manual preview and confirmation inside HardPurge.
- All file scanning and analysis runs locally on your device; scanned file data will not be uploaded to cloud servers automatically.
- HardPurge will never access Android/data protected app private directories as restricted by Android system rules.
- Users may revoke All File Access permission at any time via Android system settings; all storage scan and cleanup features will be disabled after revocation.
3. Information We Collect
Voluntarily Submitted Data
- Feedback text and device info submitted through in-app support forms to report scan failures or compatibility bugs
- Optional email address provided voluntarily only to receive follow-up replies to support tickets
- Local user preferences: Scan filters, cleanup sorting rules, temporary scan cache saved only on your device
Automatically Collected Anonymous Technical Data
- Device system metadata: Android OS version, device model, HardPurge build version, total storage capacity
- Anonymous advertising ID: Used for contextual free ads; fully opt-outable via system privacy settings
- Aggregated crash & performance logs: De-identified error reports to fix scanning crashes; logs contain zero raw file content
- Non-personal anonymous usage statistics: Scan frequency, cleaned file volume, feature click records, unlinked to individual users
Data We Never Collect
- Contacts, SMS, call logs, calendar data, background real-time location tracking
- Bank cards, banking credentials, identity documents and all financial sensitive data
- Third-party app login accounts, private chat records and internal confidential app content
4. Purpose of Data Processing
All collected data is processed only for limited service purposes, with no repurposing without separate explicit user consent:
- Core storage cleanup service: Traverse full storage via All File Access permission, classify junk files, list duplicate media and large files for manual user deletion
- Optimize App compatibility & performance: Fix scanning crashes, accelerate full storage scan speed for all Android device models
- Maintain free App operation: Show contextual advertisements via AdMob SDK; scanned file data will never be used for targeted ad matching
- Process user technical support: Reply to feedback, resolve scan permission and storage compatibility issues
- Meet Google Play platform compliance and global legal data protection obligations
HardPurge will never sell, rent, trade or license your device metadata and scanned file information to advertisers, data brokers or any commercial third parties.
5. Third-Party SDK & Data Sharing
HardPurge only shares anonymized non-personal technical data with essential third-party service providers, all bound by strict data protection non-disclosure agreements.
Integrated Third-Party SDKs
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collect anonymous crash logs for bug repair; cannot access local device files or user private media
- Google AdMob: Deliver free contextual ads, process advertising ID to control ad display frequency
- Google Play Billing: Process premium ad-free upgrade orders; all payment data is fully managed and stored by Google, never saved by HardPurge
Mandatory Legal Disclosure
We may disclose anonymized statistical data upon valid court orders, official government regulatory requests, or when required to protect platform security and user data safety.
6. Data Storage & Retention Rules
- Temporary scan cache: File scanning indexes and preview records are stored inside HardPurge’s private directory and auto-cleared after App closure
- Anonymous crash & usage logs: Retained for maximum 12 months for product optimization, then permanently auto-purged
- User feedback records: Support messages stored for 90 days to handle follow-up inquiries, then fully deleted
- Local user scan preferences: Saved exclusively on your device, retained until you clear App storage or uninstall HardPurge
HardPurge has no automatic cloud sync function for local device files; all scanned file metadata stays only on your mobile device by default.
7. Data Security Protection
We adopt industry-standard technical and administrative safeguards to protect anonymous device data and local scanned file records:
- All network transmission between device and third-party SDK servers uses TLS 1.3 end-to-end encryption to prevent interception
- Third-party SDK access is strictly isolated by Android system permission limits
- Backend staff access control with multi-factor authentication and role-based authority restrictions
- Quarterly vulnerability scanning on App code and transmission channels to eliminate security loopholes
- Formal data breach response protocol: Affected users and regulators will be notified within 72 hours if unauthorized data exposure occurs
No digital storage or network transmission system can guarantee absolute 100% security. Please lock your mobile device with screen passwords to prevent unauthorized access to local files.
8. Your Global Privacy Rights
All HardPurge users worldwide hold the following controllable privacy rights:
- Right to restrict data collection: Turn off crash log reporting and advertising ID tracking via Android system privacy settings
- Right to erase local data: Clear App scan cache and all temporary file records via system application management
- Right to withdraw consent: Revoke All File Access permission for HardPurge at any time, all storage scan and cleanup functions will be disabled
9. CCPA Rights for California Users
If you reside in California, United States, you hold supplementary rights under the CCPA. You may request full disclosure of all data categories collected within the past 12 months and demand deletion of anonymous statistical data. HardPurge never sells any user personal identifiable information, so there is no opt-out process for data sales. Exercising CCPA rights will not limit core free storage cleanup features.
10. GDPR Rights for EEA & UK Users
Users located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland are covered by GDPR. You have the right to object to data processing based on legitimate interests, and may submit formal complaints to local data protection authorities if HardPurge violates GDPR provisions. Cross-border data transfers outside European regions use European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses to maintain equal data protection standards.
11. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
HardPurge Junk Cleaner is designed for users aged 13 and older. We will not intentionally collect personal identifiable data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent required by COPPA. If you are a parent and find your minor child used HardPurge without your approval, contact our privacy email, and we will delete all child-related stored data within 14 business days after identity verification.
12. Policy Update Notification
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy to match updated Google Play policies, global data laws and App functional adjustments. Material revisions related to All File Access permission rules or third-party data sharing will be notified via in-app pop-ups at least 14 days before taking effect. Minor text edits only update the top “Last Updated” date without separate advance notice.
